In the Argentinean Patagonia, Aguas Arriba Lodge is located by the Lago del Desierto, 37 km from El Chalten, the national capital of trekking.
An exclusive and secluded place with total privacy for it's guests.
On the East shore of the Lake, rests this charming place, were you can enjoy majestic views of the lake, the north face of Mt. Fitz Roy, Mt. Torre and the Vespignani Glacier.
The Lodge is part of the Estancia Rio de las Vueltas, a property with 700 hectares of mountain and 900 meters of shore line, covered with centenarian trees from the Nothfagus species.
You will be able to relax in our house, a warm and rustic place in the heart of the majestic Patagonian Andes.
We invite you to discover the spirit of the nature that surrounds us in this remote place.
In this undisclosed Argentina, at only 5 km of the Chilenean border, accessible only through the lakes or hiking in the forest, it is common to see only our own shadow or the ones coming along.
Trails that haven´t been explored, rivers, glaciers, forest and lakes.
An ideal place to start a variety of hikes, fly fishing trips, to harmonize with nature, relax, meditate, read, enjoy the fresh perfumes and the wild sounds from the main deck overseeing the lake.

THE LODGE
With nature in mind, the Lodge has an eco-friendly architecture where many precautions to protect and preserve the natural environment have been taken.
The Lodge is a mountain cabin with a rustic style, made entirely of wood, using mostly recycled logs from a burn forest from northern Patagonia.
This rustic style, is expressed in the walls and beams where you can see the grain and the imperfections of the wood, and how it respectfully blends with the essence of the environment.
Within this style, every room was designed to offer a warm, comfortable, cozy and quiet place to enjoy.
Wide open views let the scenery into the house.
Enjoy the sound of water cuddling the shore, the wind passing through the tree leafs leaves its tracks on the lake surface.

2 corner Premium Suites rooms southwest oriented, with spectacular views of Mt. Fitz Roy towards the north, and the Vespignani glacier & Lago del Desierto towards the west. (20 to 27m2)..
GLACIER
3 front-lake view Premium suites rooms located on the first floor of the lodge, west oriented, with stunning views of the Lago del Desierto and Vespignani Glacier. (From 17 to 24 m2).
1 North oriented room with views to the Nothofagus forest. Two separate spaces that are join together by an interior door, one of the rooms can be arranged either as a cozy living room or as an extra bedroom (single/double), ideal for families.

TREKKING
For those who are in shape, the first proposal would be to reach de Lodge following a trail from the southern point of the Lago del Desierto , with one of our guides ( 3 hs trek ), while your luggage would be taken by boat.
