DAG 8 : PUERTO NATALES – PUNTA ARENAS – VENTUS of STELLA AUSTRALIS – STRAAT VAN MAGELHAEN
Transfer naar de haven van Punta Arenas. In de loop van de namiddag, inscheping aan boord van de M/V Stella of Ventus Australis en intrek in uw cabine. Welkom drink van de kapitein en begin van de cruise via de Straat van Magelhaen tussen Patagonië en Vuurland. Avondmaal en overnachting aan boord.
DAG 9 : FJORD AINSWORTH – MARINELLIGLETSJER – TUCKER-EILANDJE
Boottocht naar de fjord Almirantazgo. We gaan aan land nabij de Marinelligletsjer en wandeling door het Magelhaenische woud met zijn vele stuwdammen die door bevers zijn gebouwd. Onderweg ziet u ook een kolonie zeeolifanten. Verderzetting van de navigatie en mogelijkheid om dolfijnen te observeren. Aanmering op het eilandje Tucker waar men een grote kolonie Magelhaen pinguïns kan zien. U kunt een groot aantal aalscholvers aan de oevers van het eilandje aanschouwen en, verder boven op een kaap, een kolonie zeehonden. Avondmaal en overnachting aan boord.
DAG 10 : BEAGLEKANAAL – PIA-GLETSJER
Boottocht langs de voornaamste vertakking van het Beaglekanaal. Wij varen in de Baai Pia en meren aan voor een wandeling tot aan de uitkijkpost. Daar krijgen we een fantastisch uitzicht over de Pia-gletsjer dat van de hoge cordilleras afschuift richting de fjord. Met een beetje geluk kunt u zelfs grote ijsstukken zien die loskomen van de gletsjers en bij het neervallen gigantische golven veroorzaken. Middagmaal, avondmaal en overnachting aan boord.
DAG 11 : BEAGLEKANAAL –KAAP HOORN– PUERTO WILLIAMS
We varen langs het Beagle - en het Murraykanaal tussen de Hoste - en Navarino eilanden. Aanmering aan het Nationaal Park van de kaap Hoorn, als het weer het toelaat. Middagmaal aan boord. Verder met de cruise rond de eilanden Hoste en Navarino. Aanmering in Puerto Williams. Avondmaal en overnachting aan boord.
DAG 12 : USHUAIA
Wij meren aan te Ushuaia, de hoofdstad van het Vuurland. Transfer en intrek in het hotel. ‘s Namiddags, uitstap in het Nationaal Park van Vuurland. Geopend in 1960, uitgespreid over 63.000 ha, is dit het meest zuidelijke beschermde natuurgebied en het enige met kusten. Overtocht van de Rio Pipo naar het Lago Roca (dit meer wordt bevoorraad door gletsjers) en Bahia Lapataia. Enkele condors verblijven in het park.
