Nekupe Sporting Resort and Retreat is a 2,000+-acre nature reserve in Nicaragua’s Pacific countryside that offers opportunities to stimulate your mind, your body and your soul. It is the vision of Don Alfredo Jr. and Doña Theresa Pellas, avid travelers and adventure enthusiasts whose commitment to nature is exhibited through the resort’s core principles of respect and stewardship of the environment.
Nekupe is located in Nandaime, the “place of abundant streams.” It is just 1.5 hours from the Augusto C. Sandino International Airport in Managua, 30 minutes from the charming colonial city of Granada and just over an hour from the Pacific Coast.
Nekupe houses an animal sanctuary with more than 158 species of plants, including more than 100,000 trees that were planted throughout the reserve. Wildlife and fauna is sustained by the reservoirs developed by a team of local experts and ecologists. The sobering aura of the grounds serves as a backdrop for a variety of recreational activities and nature appreciation.
Nekupe offers a seamless confluence of sustainable nature-based design with Feng Shui inspiration, rich Nicaraguan culture and warm hospitality, nurturing exploration, adventure, wellbeing and peace. LA RESIDENCIA DOÑA THERESITA

La Residencia Doña Theresita is a unique combination of a dream home within a luxurious hotel setting, offering unparalleled attention to detail and privacy. This 24,000 sq ft residential compound is situated at the heart of the expansive reserve. The residence's design is a contemporary interpretation of indigenous local architectural with welcoming courtyards and long corridors surrounding the residence. The room's contemporary aesthetic provides an understated design that makes guests feel at home in a mountain-based sanctuary. High ceilings and expansive windows allow guests to take in the majesty of the outdoors. It features four serene suites, each with breathtaking views of the surrounding forest, a personal head chef, two pools, two private dining areas and kitchens, a state of the art media room and poker table, various bar areas, and an array of service staff, exclusively available for you.

NANGU LUXURY BUNGALOW

Nekupe offers four private Nangu that rest just atop miles of forest canopy. Nangu comes from the Chorotega word "cabana" that means bungalow in the language of a Nicaraguan tribe. This luxury bungalows feature floor-to-ceiling windows so guest can enjoy spectacular views of the Mombacho Volcano, all thoughtfully positioned to immerse guests in nature. Each Nangu comes with a King Size bed, living area, custom made soaking tub and open terraces to sit back and relax the breath -taking view of the Mombacho Volcano. Chalets are located between villas as common-space areas for friends and family to gather.
