In contrast to large groups of buildings, Punta Rucia Lodge is a very intimate complex oriented nature and waterfront. It consists of only a dozen residential and luxurious individual referred to as "Fares".

The direct proximity of the sea will enable you to taste various fish, lobsters, crabs. The local meats with in particular of the ox nets (Reis) of a remarkable tenderness are also available. We will propose to you to discover Dominican traditional dishes at the time of one evening with topic without forgetting one evening putting lobster at the honor. CAYO ARENA
Cayo Arena is"THE EXIT" during your stay in Punta Rucia Lodge. Given the location of the hotel located less than a quarter of an hour by boat, you will discover this paradisiac island in ideal conditions and long before the influx of tourists. You will inevitably fall in love with this turquoise lagoon with its myriad of colorful fish to discover safely fins, mask and snorkel.. Many are those which will require to return during their stay. To respect this exceptional environment, we are setting up measures to full compliance with this magical place in this protected park.. A snack is provided on site in the shade of a straw hut.
MANATEES
Les lamantins des Antilles (Trichechus manatus manatus) sont de gros mammifères herbivores, au corps fuselé, vivant en eaux littorales peu profondes dans l'embouchure des fleuves ou les mangroves de la zone tropicale de l'Atlantique. Leur faciès large et leur mode d'alimentation herbivore leur vaut parfois le surnom de « vaches de mer » ou « vaches marines ».
Le parc national des Manatees est situé à seulement 15 mn de Punta Rucia Lodge.
L'excursion se fait principalement le matin tôt pour bénéficier des meilleures conditions. Une approche tout en douceur organisée en petite barque à moteur ou en canoé vous permettra d'observer ces gentils et paisibles mammifères complètement inoffensifs qui sont malheureusement menacés de disparition.
